Dale Steele
President
Dale is Townsville born and bred. Since graduating from James Cook University with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering he has worked in the local construction industry for more than 26 years. Following a decade working in the residential development/building construction sector Dale established SPM Qld in 2014 to provide Development/Project Management consultancy services to the local market.
Dale has two daughters and a stepson who played all his junior basketball in Townsville before moving to Brisbane to pursue his basketball dream playing in the NBL1 competition.
While Dale’s sporting background is Rugby Union he is motivated to work with the current Board and contribute to the ongoing development of Townsville Basketball to benefit the community.

Dennis Evans
Vice-President
Dennis is the owner of Dennis Computers which was established in 1996 which specialises in IT Network Management and hardware Supply. He joined the TBI board to assist in the producing of policies and direction to ensure all players have a chance to play in a well structured association at an affordable cost. Dennis also wants to see the growth of our association in both memberships and facilities to give our members the best possible playing experience and enjoyment.

Tony Parker
Treasurer
Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce and practised as an accountant for 5 years. He ran his own business' for 20 years before commencing his current role in commercial real estate. He has five children who have all played basketball over the years with four of them playing representative basketball. Tony joined the committee of TBI to make a difference help guide the association through these tough times.

Scott Brown
Secretary
Scott is currently working as the Manager - ICT Operations, Infrastructure & Security with BRAVUS Australia since 2017.
Before joining the board in late 2019, Scott has been involved with Townsville Basketball since moving from Ingham in 1998.
Scott chose TBI to further his refereeing aspirations to an elite level. Scott's aspirations came through with a professional NBL,WNBL and State League career spanning over 20 years with multiple Grand Finals appearances.
Scott would like to repay TBI for what his has provided him the platform to achieve his aspirations and goals.

Andrew Stallan
Board Member
Andrew holds a Diploma in Shopping Centre Management and Marketing, and has been working in the Shopping Centre industry for over 25 years. Andrew has been the Centre Manager at Local Shopping Centres Willows and Stockland, and has overseen over $400 million Dollars in Redevelopments during this time. Andrew has 2 Children, both of whom came through the local Rep scene, and continue to play in the local A Grade competitions. Andrew grew up playing basketball and Soccer, and has a keen interest in all things Sport. Andrew joined the Board to bring a Commercial Focus to Townsville Basketball, and to help continue the outstanding work that has already been delivered in making Townsville Basketball Thrive, and to work with Management and The Board to achieve further commercial goals.

Jacky Maggs
Board Member
Jacky has been a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Master’s degree) at Townsville University Hospital for the past 20 years. Prior to that she was a Radiation Therapist for 20 years both in Townsville as well as her home town in New Zealand. In 2003 she started refereeing senior club basketball, first game was with John Davies. For the last 10 years she has been coordinating Rep Referees, the last 6 years Referee Coaching at QBL level and the last 2 years at WNBL Level with a Grade 2 (State) Referee Coaching Certificate

Sean Kerlin
Board Member
Sean is the General Manager of family manufacturing & construction business Beehive Vinyl Products & Australian Lining Company for the past 22 years. Prior to that he worked in the banking & finance industry for 11 years. He has 3 children with 2 playing club basketball & one playing rep basketball as they were growing up. Sean joined the board in 2017 to contribute & work alongside the other board members in achieving the vision & goals of the club to the benefit of its members in the long term.

Kandy McAuliff
Board Member
Kandy has worked for Townsville City Council as the Team Manager – Health, Safety and Training for the past six years. Kandy has been involved in Townsville Basketball since 1988 where she began as a junior player. All of Kandy’s three sisters played representative basketball, with Melanie playing for the Australian Under 20 team under Coach Norma Connolly (OAM). Kandy’s four children have all come through the ranks of TBI and all playing at representative level with both Todd and Jake representing Qld. She has coached at both club level and representative level over the past 15 years.
Kandy is a graduate from James Cook University and Central Qld University holding an MBA, Masters of Conflict Management and Resolution, Bachelor of Nursing Science, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety and Bachelor of Laws.
Kandy joined the board to bring expertise in Health & Safety & Governance, Risk and Compliance.
